Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai will likely preside over a meeting of Naxal-dominated states today at 10 AM at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. The meeting is expected to be presided over by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In the same session, CM Sai will brief the public on the recent successful operations against Naxalites in the state. These operations have been decisive in building security and lowering Naxal impact in some strategic Zones of Chhattisgarh.
Sources say that CM Sai is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 6 PM at the Prime Minister’s house in the evening. This session has been organized on special invitation by the Prime Minister himself, who has called the Chief Minister to congratulate him in case of efficient and successful implementation of the Naxalism issue in the state. The invitation bears testimony to the fact that the central government has acknowledged the recent accomplishments towards counter-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh.
In the physical meeting, CM Sai is anticipated to brief the prime minister regarding the current position of the state’s developmental projects/ schemes. As part of the meeting, CM Sai will also bring the Prime Minister up to date on ongoing government policies and propose further actions that the government will undertake to boost growth and deal with issues in Chhattisgarh. These discussions will include several areas of development such as infrastructure forum, education forum, health forum, and security forum.
These successful operations against Naxal insurgents have strengthened CM’s image as a leader who is determined to achieve law, order, and development. This meeting with the PM shows the increasing event of the central state partnership in promoting tranquillity, safety, and development in Chhattisgarh.
