Raipur: The state government employees have received a special Diwali gift from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who has announced a very high Dearness Allowance (DA) increase for them. The DA, which was previously at 46%, has risen to 50%. This increases the Dearness Allowance for all state employees by 4%, thus giving employees extra pocket money during the same period of inflation.
The announcement was made soon before the state cabinet meeting, indicating the government’s tackling package for its employees. This decision is likely to augment some much-needed cash rewards, especially with the festive season knocking at the doors for thousands of employees in the state.
The state employees are to avail this upward adjustment of the DA from 1st October, as announced by CM Sai, which is the starting point of the new fiscal policy for this increment. Thus, the increase in Dearness Allowance is meant to assist employees in managing their living expenses more effectively, even with the new price increases in core consumer items. This is in line with the government’s continued endeavors to subsidize its employees.
The administration views the enhancement of the 4% DA hike as a way of responding to standard economic conditions positively to enhance compensation rewards for employees. They believe it will enhance performance by raising morale and practical earnings for employees while potentially sparking local economies.
In general, this increase in DA portrays the state government as active in maintaining employee welfare and in addressing the phenomenon of economic crisis. With this what it takes employees to prepare a financially buoyant festive period, the Diwali celebration becomes even more enjoyable this year.
