Raipur: The “Police Memorial Day Parade” is being held today at the 4th Corps Chhattisgarh Armed Forces Complex, Mana, in the capital Raipur. Chief guest Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, and Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, along with senior officials, are present at the ceremony.
Tributes were paid to the police personnel who died in the line of duty. Their families were honored by reading out their names during the parade.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that our soldiers have not only bravely faced the challenge of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, but have also pushed them back. Our fight against Naxalism is moving forward with new momentum and strength. Thanks to the bravery of our soldiers, Naxalism will definitely be eradicated by March 2026.
At 09:00 AM, the Governor was presented with a parade salute and the National Flag was played. A minute later, at 09:03 AM, the Governor took his seat. At 09:04 AM, the list of honours was presented by the pall-bearer party. The homage ceremony began at 09:10 AM with the Director General of Police. This was followed by the Home Minister at 09:13 AM and the Chief Minister at 09:15 AM. The Governor also paid homage at 09:22 AM. At 09:30 AM, the pall-bearer party deposited the list of honours in the Memorial Fund and saluted the martyrs . Thereafter, at 09:35 AM, the list of security personnel martyred while serving across India from 01.09.2024 to 31.08.2025 was read out.
