Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given in-principle consent for the establishment of Food Irradiation Park (irradiation of food items) in the government sector in the state. Bhabha Atomic Research Center transfer technology from cow dung to power generation and food irradiation plants in Chhattisgarh, he said that this would help the farmers of the state to get more benefits of their produce. Chief Minister Baghel on Monday, while transferring an amount of Rs. 3 crore 93 lakh online to cattle dung sellers, Gothan committees and women self-help groups under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, at his residence office, congratulated the livestock owners, Gothan committees and the women of the group.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed to purchase cow dung from the cattle rearing villagers of the village’s dependent in the Gothans. CM also launched the Gothan Map app developed by NIC for monitoring the activities conducted in Gothans. Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, Former Union Minister Bhakta Charandas, Advisor to Chief Minister Pradeep Sharma, Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Girish Devangan were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that through the establishment of Gothans in villages and through Godhan Nyay Yojana, work is being done for the protection and service of Gaumata in the state. Animal husbandry, rural farmers, shepherds, all the people associated with Gothan Samiti are serving Gaumata.

The Chief Minister said that the cattle owners of all villages should get the benefit of selling cow dung under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, for this, arrangements should be ensured to buy cow dung from the people of dependent villages in Gauthans. He appealed to the farmers for Paradan for cattle fodder in the Gothans. He directed the Agriculture Production Commissioner to conduct the Paradan campaign on a large scale through all the collectors and get the paras collected from the farmers’ fields. The Chief Minister directed that at least five types of income-oriented activities should be started compulsorily in all the Gothans, so that the income of the women group associated with the Gothans can be increased.
