Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Congress has released the list of star campaigners for the Bhanupratappur assembly by-election. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state in-charge PL Punia, and state president Mohan Markam have found a place in this list. The names of 37 leaders are included in the list of star campaigners released by Congress. Voting on the Bhanupratappur assembly seat is to be held on December 5.

Regarding the Bhanupratappur by-election, the opposition party BJP has fielded veteran leaders in front of the election commission. The BJP has made former minister Brijmohan Agarwal the election in-charge. Along with him former MP Ramvichar Netam, MLA Shivratan Sharma, and Motilal Sahu have been made co-incharges. Along with this, BJP has also released a list of its star campaigners.

State in-charge Om Mathur, co-in-charge Nitin Nabin, National Organization Minister Shiv Prakash, Regional Organization Minister Ajay Jamwal, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan have been made star campaigners. The party has decided to contest the elections under the leadership of national office bearers in the first by-election after the change in the state organization. Former State President Vishnudev Sai and former Leader of Opposition have also been included in the list of star campaigners. 

The list of BJP’s star campaigners includes local leaders of Kanker and Bastar along with all those leaders who have been removed from the post recently. The BJP state organization has submitted a list of 40 star campaigners to the Election Commission. In this Brijmohan Aggarwal, Premprakash Pandey, Ajay Chandrakar, Mohan Mandavi, Shivratan Sharma, Mahesh Gagda, Lata Usendi, Dinesh Kashyap, Krishnamurthy Bandhi, Kirandev, Kamalchand Bhanjdev, Saurabh Singh, Vikas Markam, Sevakram Netam, Rajaram Todem, Lachchuram Kashyap, Mahesh Jain, Ojaswi Mandavi, Devlal Dugga, and Shalini Rajput have been named. The result of the by-election is to be declared on Dec 8.
