Raipur: Chhattisgarh administration has decided to hold low key Independence Day celebrations this year. The function would be held at Raipur Parade Ground at 9 am on August 15. CM Baghel would unfurl the flag which would be followed by the National Anthem. CM Baghel would also honor the COVID warriors during the event. 

Collector Subash Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav have been entrusted with the responsibility of the event. 

As per the instructions issued by authorities, all guests of the program will be screened prior to entry, they have been instructed to dorn masks and maintain adequate physical distance.

All government offices would also hoist the flags and commemorate a low key celebration. The Sarpanch in the villages would hoist the flags. No public functions will be organized at the Janpad Panchayat and Tehsil levels. 

Meanwhile, at the Red Fort, PM Modi would also witness a low key event. PM Modi would deliver a speech during the event that would be aired on the TV and online portals.
