Raipur: On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Rajiv Gandhi, CM Baghel would issue financial assistance to the farmers of the state at 1 pm today from his Residence Office.
Sources reveal that the CM would issue the second instalment of Rs 15.22 crore under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana to 21 lakh farmers growing paddy and sugarcane for the year 2021-21.
It is also reported that CM Baghel would initiate an online transfer of Rs 3.49 crore to Cow Dung and Gauthan Committees and Women Self Help Groups ( SHGs) from whom cow dung was purchased under Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana. Under the same scheme, a sum of Rs 1 crore would be provided to Self Help Groups and Rs 1.46 crore to Gauthan committees as the 26th instalment for the cow dung purchased since 20 July 2020. Additionally, the beneficiaries will also be leased land under Rajiv Sharan Yojana.
On the occasion of the birthday of late Rajiv Gandhi, the city would receive a shed at Bhagat Singh Chowk, multilevel parking at the Collectorate Complex, Shaheed Smarak English medium school at Fafadih Chowk and the Inter-State Bus Terminal Complex built at Bhatagaon in Raipur and 6 MLD to protect the water of Kharun river.
Since 2020, the state has seen an increase in cultivation land from 22 lakh hectares to more than 27 this year.
