Raipur: On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took a dip of faith in Mahadev Ghat in Raipur. Along with this, Maha Aarti was also performed at Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple located at Mahadev Ghat. After which Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel along with many Congress leaders were seen lighting the bonfire.
CM Baghel, who came to take bath at Mahadev Ghat, said that it has been in the tradition of Chhattisgarh, especially the children. He definitely goes to the village in the month of Kartik and takes bath today as per this tradition. Mahant Ramsundar Das ji, Pradeep Sharma, Ejaz Dhebar and many friends have come with me. “We have also seen Hatkeshwar Mahadev in Kharun beach. We are continuously following this. It is a good tradition. It is also beneficial to take bath before Suryadev”, said the chief minister.
Regarding the visit to Telangana, he said that the election campaign is in full swing there. CM Baghel will be visiting the poll bound state for two days.
Further commenting on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s politic, he said “it is known throughout the country that idols of Lord Ram have been installed at many places in Chhattisgarh. We do not ask for votes in his name. That is the subject of our faith”. He further added that Ram Temple is built on the orders of the Supreme Court.
On the issue of election complaint by BJP, the CM said, the day the notice comes, it will be answered. Commenting on the deletion of Rahul Gandhi’s posts on social media, CM Baghel said, “it should be fair. We had also complained to the Election Commission when we were filling the forms and giving advertisements. Even then we complained, the Election Commission did not take any action”.
