Mau, Uttar Pradesh: CM Bhupesh Baghel addressing an election gathering in Uttar Pradesh on Monday slammed the Yogi Adityanath Govt. Targeting the unemployment rate of the state, he claimed that the common man was being deprived of his rights.
Pointing towards the development works of the state, he laid down comparison with the state under his rule. He said that so far, loans of 9.19 crore farmers were waived off by his cabinet.
Nearly 5 lakh voters would cast a vote in the Mau assembly constituency, inclusive of 1.25 lakh Muslim voters, one lakh Dalit and 55,000 Rajbhars. The district would undergo voting in the seventh and the last stage on March 7th.
UP winded up its fifth phase of elections in Amethi on Sunday. The Congress which failed to flag a seat in 2017 is stalwart to make a mark by winning more than one of the five seats in the district this time. In 2019, Rahul Gandhi had lost the Amethi seat to Union Minister Smriti Irani.
The Congress came back strong this time, holding a six km long padyatra from Jagsidhpur to Harimau, as part of its program ‘ BJP Bhagao Mahangai Hatao Pratigya Yatra’.
