Raipur: Interacting with the local media before departing to Ratanpur, CM Baghel issued controversial remarks while criticizing the opposition on the protest organized by BJP and RSS over the ongoing communal violence in Karwadha. Slamming the opposition he stated, “they only master in conversion (religion) and communalism.” Now they don’t have any issues in Chhattisgarh. These people cannot talk about farmers, labourers, tribal’s and scheduled caste and so are fighting over conversion and communalism, he added.” He further said that the RSS workers are controlled for Nagpur and in the same way Maoists in Chhattisgarh are being controlled by their senior cadets in Andhra and Telangana.
He asserted that the state administration would not let communalism create a negative impact on the trade of the state and assure no impartial investigation takes place. He further states that RSS workers continued to work as bonded labourers.
Earlier today Baghel reacted to the statement issued by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in which he claimed that it was Gandhi who had asked the RSS ideologue to write a mercy petition to the British. On Tuesday Rajnath Singh claimed that there were deliberate attempts to defame Savarkar by spreading lies about him.
Several opposition leaders have criticized the statements issued by the Defence ministry for distorting history.
