Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel has given a directive, to officials from the public works department to promptly repair all roads in the state following the monsoon season. His goal is to ensure that the roads are in condition before the assembly elections. The Chief Minister emphasized that there should be no delays or negligence when it comes to road repairs and renovations as they are crucial for the convenience of the public.
To expedite this process CM Baghel urged all road construction agencies across the state to work. During a review he focused on four projects in Raipur city. These include building a flyover at Telibandha constructing a road from Sharda Chowk to Tatyapara Chowk developing a VIP road from Atal Expressway and enhancing the Kharoon River Front.
One particular concern was the pending construction of the road from Sharda Chowk to Tatyapara Chowk due to compensation issues and ongoing court cases for over 15 years. In response to this matter the Chief Minister firmly instructed officials to expedite building this 137 meter stretch of road with an estimated cost of around Rs 510 crore.
