Raipur: In his campaign for Janak Dhruv, a contestant in Bindranavgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel arrived at Devbhog’s Zhakhrapara by helicopter today, accompanied by Housing Board Director Vinod Tiwari. Addressing the crowd, CM Baghel recounted the promises fulfilled by Congress in the previous election and highlighted the inclusive approach taken across all sections during his tenure. He mockingly commented on BJP’s Mahatari Vandana scheme for women, suggesting that those who are currently filling out forms for it will change their tune later.
Enumerating the various welfare schemes implemented during his tenure, CM Baghel emphasized the government’s focus on the welfare of all sections of society. Taking a dig at BJP’s Mahatari Vandana scheme, he sarcastically remarked that those who are currently filling out forms for it will have a different perspective later on. He also compared the efforts of his government in supporting women to BJP’s initiative.
CM Baghel further took a swipe at the BJP-led central government, stating that despite the hurdles created by the BJP government at the center, his government is committed to providing a fair price of Rs 3,200 per quintal for paddy to farmers. He highlighted the government’s commitment to improving irrigation facilities for farmers in the region and assured that efforts would be made to enhance water availability for agricultural purposes.
Moreover, CM Baghel assured farmers affected by drought that they need not worry, as under the Rajiv Nyay Yojana, they would receive compensation of Rs 9,000 per acre. He concluded by expressing solidarity with farmers and promising additional benefits such as insurance coverage.
Overall, CM Baghel’s address focused on highlighting the achievements of his government and contrasting them with the promises made by the BJP, particularly mocking their Mahatari Vandana scheme.
