Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has ordered his officials to immediately terminate the government jobs of those who have sought appointments on the basis of fake certificate. The order came after Sarva Adivasi Samaj, a tribal community association, had called the CM to take immediate action against those who possess fake Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates.
The General Administration Department (GAD) circular has been issued to all the government departments; the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Revenue Board Bilaspur, all divisional commissioners, all heads of the departments, all district collectors, and all the district panchayats. GAD has asked all these departments to scrutinize and take appropriate action against those holding fake certificates.
In its circular, GAD said that “in compliance with the instructions given by the CM Baghel, employees whose ST, SC, and OBC certificates have been found fake or wrong by the scrutiny committee shall be terminated with immediate effect’. The order also read that the Chhattisgarh High Court must be requested for speedy hearing of the matter through the Advocate General of Chhattisgarh after the administrative department files a caveat.
Further, the GAD has asked the officials to provide information about the actions taken against the holders of fake or wrong certificates within seven days to the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department.
