New Delhi: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel flew to Lucknow today afternoon from Delhi. CM Baghel boarded a regularly operating flight to Lucknow. Sources from the party inform that CM would hold a press conference and also convene with the state party members at Nehru Bhawan, 2 pm today.
Prior to his departure, CM Baghel slammed the opposition as PM Modi visited Lucknow to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Taking to his social media account, CM Baghel invited PM writing, “ Respected Modiji, before celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, let’s go to Lakhimpur once.” He further stated, “ No action has been taken against the culprits of the incident at Lakhimpur Kheri yet. It is very unfortunate that leaders are celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in the same state where justice has been denied.
Early on Monday CM Baghel and Deputy CM of Punjab were denied landing rights at Lucknow. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi was also detained on Sunday evening Several leaders were detained and denied permission to visit the violence-hit district on Monday.
