Raipur: Enforcement Directorate today conducted searches at the premises of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel’s political advisor Vinod Verma. Paramilitary personnel were also seen at the residence of Vinod Verma who is also an officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Raipur. ED is investigating different cases pertaining to alleged coal scams, liquor scam, irregularities in District Mineral Foundation Fund and an online betting application.
Writing on platform X, CM Baghel accused prime minister and union minister Amit Shah for conducting raid on his birthday. “Respected Prime Minister & Mr. Amit Shah! Thank you very much for the priceless gift you have given by sending ED to my political advisor and my OSD and close friends on my birthday today”, wrote CM Baghel.
Further, the chief minister retweeted a post from Pawan Khera and wrote, “The ED raids ebing conducted today in Chhattisgarh are getting the BJP, worried about the defeat, getting it done. In the last few days, a huge defeat of the BJP is being shown in many surveys. The power of the people of Chhattisgarh is behind the Congress government. We cannot be intimidated”.
