RAIPUR: In view of the delay in the Governor’s assent to the 76 per cent reservation, CM Bhupesh Baghel has announced a massive protest march on January 3rd. According to Baghel, the delay is an example of an attempt to’ belittle the government system’.

The Baghel govt on Sunday replied to the queries posted by Governor Anusiya on the bills that were passed unanimously in a special session of the assembly by the state govt on December 3rd. Guv who on her latest visit to New Delhi claims to have deliberated over the bills along with President Drupadi Murmu and Home Minsiter and shared few changes the lega advisory had suggested.

On Monday, while talking to reporters, the CM stepped up his criticism over the delay in Governor’s assent to the bills and said, “Now, the Governor says that the replies will be studied by her legal advisor. Is the legal advisor of Raj Bhavan bigger than the state’s Vidhan Sabha, which passed the bills after so much discussion?”

“The Governor is continuously trying to make excuses to delay the process of signing the bills. When she raised 10 questions for clarity, all my officers were against sending the reply and they said she wasn’t authorized to seek answers on a bill passed in assembly. But thinking about the more than 2.5 crore population of the state and the welfare of ST/SC/ OBCs and EWS, decided to send her the replies,” Baghel added.
