Raipur: Amid the political turmoil surrounding the Mahadev app in the backdrop of the Chhattisgarh elections, both the BJP and Congress have been relentlessly accusing each other. In the midst of this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has made grave allegations against the BJP and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the Mahadev app. He claimed that something significant would unfold by the 17th of this month, as long as the voting process remains pending. Baghel asserted that the ED and BJP are collaborating to protect the users of the Mahadev app, which is still operational. He questioned when the app would be shut down and whether the APK was still functioning.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Baghel contended that the BJP has accepted its defeat. He suggested that the ED is playing a crucial role in this situation. The individuals who were apprehended have close ties to the BJP, and the seized vehicle belonged to a senior BJP leader. Until now, Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Utpal were regarded as the primary accused. Baghel remarked that he, too, could make accusations. He pointed out that the ED and BJP are collectively safeguarding the Mahadev app users. The investigation into this matter has been ongoing for two years, but the BJP is not inclined to shut it down.
Baghel called for action on this issue and stressed that unless online betting is prohibited, nothing substantial will change. He mentioned the closure of around 3,000 to 4,000 fraudulent bank accounts. The Chief Minister argued that the BJP is benefitting politically from these circumstances, and until online betting is banned, it may not be possible to fully address the issue. He urged the central government to take action, highlighting that the BJP is interested in Chhattisgarh’s resources and mines, which is why they are resorting to such tactics.
In the video, the individual initially identified himself as an employee of the Mahadev Satta app and later claimed to be the owner. So far, around 400 FIRs have been filed, and Baghel questioned the actions of the central government. He stated that they have already issued lookout circulars, but the issue has not been fully resolved yet. The political landscape in Chhattisgarh continues to be embroiled in controversy, making the state’s upcoming elections a topic of intense scrutiny and debate.
