The employees of the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) on Tuesday staged an indefinite strike for the ninth day straight. The CIMS employees opposed the management raising slogans and protesting in heavy rains.

The employees union has announced black day from September 1st to 3rd where all the nurses would dorn a black band. The nurses have announced to go on an indefinite strike if their demands are not met until February 3rd.

For nine consecutive day’s today patients at CIMS are being denied treatment. No investigatory procedures are being conducted. 

The protest is being held in demand to provide an increment to 400 employees of the hospital. CIMS officials inform that the employees have not been given an increment from the past seven years.
