Raipur– In Raipur, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drawing attention to the payments owed to the state by the Central Government. In his communication, Chief Minister Baghel urgently requested the settlement of around Rs 6,000 crore in liabilities.

The letter highlights the burden the state government faces when it has to manage paddy due to rice deposits in the central pool. Chief Minister Baghel expresses concerns about the absence of compensation from the government for these losses, which strains the state’s finances.

Stressing the seriousness of this issue, Chief Minister Baghel appeals to Prime Minister Modi to instruct authorities to expedite the resolution of these pending liabilities. He also urges them to set a timeline for resolving pending dues and ensuring the transfer of rightfully claimed amounts to the state government. This intervention is crucial in easing pressure on Chhattisgarh and reinforcing trust in our structure.
