Raipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Economic Offences Wing have been modified into a hi-tech website to fight corruption. On December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched Anti-Corruption Bureau and Economic Offences Wing’s joint operational website www.acbeow.cg.gov.in.
Any person from any corner of the state can launch an e-complaint and get information via this website, which is the first governmental website in the state-operated fully in the Chhattisgarhi language.
Toll-free helpline number 1064 and WhatsApp number 8827461064 have also been launched by the CM, to make entry of the complaints against corruption easier for the people in Chhattisgarh, and to spread awareness against corruption as well.
A poster was also launched to spread awareness against corruption. The poster will be fixed at every government office so that people coming here to complain about corruption can get to know about the website and helpline number, and that makes the entry of their complaints easier.
On this occasion, a cheque worth Rs.1,25,000/- has been deposited in the Chief Minister Relief Fund, which has been funded by the ACB and EOW officials.
Notably, on the noble occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, the officials and other personnel working in Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Economic Offences Wing have taken an oath to stay alert, always do their duty with honesty, stay committed to the highest standards of integrity, and fight together against statewide corruption.
The oath ceremony was conducted by Director Asif H. Sheikh and Superintendent of Police Pankaj Chandra.
