Chhattisgarh: Youth icon Nitesh Sahu, Ravi and Aakriti are invited to attend the National Youth Festival organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti from January 12 to 16.
Nitesh Sahu, a social worker represented Chhattisgarh several times earlier as well. This year the young social worker has been listed to receive the President’s Youth Award by the GoI. Nitesh a resident of Phulwari, Mungeli has put in immense efforts to conserve water in his village.
Along with Nitesh, young Rangoli artist Ravi Pakira, from Manjhagwa village of Bilaspur will also participate in the festival. Pakira an alumnus of Vishwavidyalaya Khairagarh, has been recognized by the state for her beautiful artwork at tourist spots in the state.
Aakriti Tamrakar of Ratnapur will also be seen at the festival. Aakriti, a student of the Forest Department has been selected by the Guru Ghasidas Central University for the prestigious Chancellor’s Gold Medal. Aakriti gained fame due to her talent in Yogic sessions.
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has decided to organize National Youth festivals in a grand manner to mark the event of Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Members of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and other organisations across the country are likely to attend this festival. District Youth officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Bilaspur, congratulated the fellow talents for receiving the invitation.
