Ambikapur: The murder mysterty of a woman in the Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh has been solved. Apparently, the woman was murdered by the truck driver, Rahul, resident of the Batauli area of Ambikapur. It has been told that the woman and the driver consumed alcohol following which the lady demanded money from Rahul and threatened to implicate a rape case against him. Enraged by this, the driver strangled the woman to death. Officials from the Gandhinagar police station area have nabbed the accused and recovered the information for the case through interrogation.
It should be noted that the police had received information on November 05th about a dead body lying near the PG College of the city. The women’s body was lying tied in a sari in the bushes. The police team on searching the spot recovered a Aadhar card near the deceased. The woman was identified as Santoshi (40), a resident of Delhi as per information from the Aadhar card. The police had resorted to a multi angle investigation after the discovery of the Aadhar card. However, further investigations revealed the deceased lady was originally a resident of Semardih in the Lundra area of Ambikapur district, who had relocated to Delhi for earning a living.
The Superintendent of Police had also announced a reward of Rs 5000 for furnishing information of the accused. After studying nearly 300 CCTV footages the officials successfully nabbed Rahul.
