Raipur. On Thursday, the Question Hour in the Chhattisgarh Assembly was disrupted due to continuous sloganeering by opposition members on the fertilizer crisis. Angered by this, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh adjourned the Question Hour midway.
Congress MLA and former minister Umesh Patel raised the issue of the shortage of fertilizers in the state during the Question Hour in the House. He asked about fertilizers, about half the storage has been done till June, what is the plan for supply?
Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam said that he is in constant touch with the Government of India, he is keeping an eye on any shortage of fertilizers. Where there was a shortage of DAP, other fertilizers are being promoted. DAP Nano is also being encouraged. Fertilizers are going to reach many rack points. By July 20, 18850 metric tons of fertilizer i.e. a total of 24 racks are going to be received, which will also contain NPK and DAP fertilizers.
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel asked why DAP is being black marketed? On this, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam stated that 1 lakh 72 thousand metric tons of DAP have arrived so far. An additional 18 thousand metric tons will arrive in the next five days, ensuring no problem anywhere.
While adjourning the session, the speaker said that this is a loss for Chhattisgarh. It is a loss for the parliamentary traditions of Chhattisgarh. The whole country sees what standards Chhattisgarh has set. How those standards are being violated. Even after my request, you are not ready to understand.
