Raipur: Chhattisgarh reports few more government employees under the COVID grasp. Two IAS officers identified as Revenue Board Chairman CK Khaitan and Transport Department Commissioner Dr Kamal Preet Singh have been affected by the deadly virus. The duo has advised individuals who came in recent contact to quarantine.
IAS Khaitan declared about his positivity on Twitter. His tweet read-“request all those who came in contact with me in the last 7 days to get a corona check-up done. Take care.”
Dr Kamal Preet Singh also announced his infection via a tweet. The tweet read ” I have tested positive for SARS COV-2. Request all those who came in contact with me in the last 7 days to get their corona checked.”
Chhattisgarh administration reported the highest number of cases amongst all state governments across the state. Recently, Balodabazar collector Sunil Jain also quarantined after testing positive to COVID, following him Mungeli Zila Panchayat CEO Rohit Vyas also was hit by the virus and resorted to isolation.
In the last 24 hours, the state recorded 10,521 new infections leading the overall count to 4,43,297. Around 40,000 individuals were tested and 122 lost lives to COVID. The state has declared to establish oxygen cylinders at the government hospitals and also revise the cost for the treatment at private hospitals.
