In Chhattisgarh, the chief minister’s Secretariat has been working till midnight to prepare for the Bills to be introduced in the session and for the chief minister’s speech. It is being told that the draft of amendment bills on the reservation is almost ready. It will be approved in the state cabinet meeting to be held on November 24.
“The state government is very serious about reservation. In view of circumstances, it was decided that the provisions of the Reservation Ac, which were canceled by the High Court, should be made effective again through the law. It will be passed on December 2”, said a state minister.
The central government will be urged to include this reservation law of Chhattisgarh in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution. The effect of being included in the Ninth Schedule is that it cannot challenged in any court.
