Raipur: In a bid to uplift the states’ education system, the Baghel Govt has announced to set up English Medium colleges across the state.
“Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has decided to start Swami Atmanand English Medium Adarsh Mahavidyalaya in Chhattisgarh in a phased manner in the interest of the students of the state,” a state government spokesperson said.
The Chief Secretary has been instructed to submit a blue print within ten for the phased introduction of the collges, the spokesperson added. The phases spread over the next three years will have 10 colleges in the first phase which will take its first batch from June 2023.
The move was taken after CM Baghel in an interaction with Aam Janta learnt about their plight for higher education. As per sources, students after completing PUC at Swami Atmanand schools would have to shift to other metropolitan cities for further education which is causing financial burden on families.
The Baghel administration earlier this year introduced English medium Swami Atmanand schools for quality education to childeren of middle class society. Currently there are 247 schools in the state.
