Raipur: Chhattisgarh will be awarded five national awards on Thursday, July 18 in New Delhi for its excellent work in Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission. The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) and four urban bodies of the state, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Champa and Bhatapara have been selected by the central government for the prestigious SPARK-2023-24 awards. These awards are being given for excellent work in empowering urban poor families in the state and increasing their livelihood opportunities.
SUDA nd the four urban bodies will be awarded at a ceremony organized by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry at India Habitat Center in New Delhi. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal and Minister of State Tokhan Sahu will present these awards.
A total of 20-member team of officials and beneficiaries of SUDA, Bilaspur and Raigarh Municipal Corporations and Champa and Bhatapara Municipalities selected for the award will receive these awards in New Delhi on behalf of Chhattisgarh. Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Sao has congratulated the team of SUDA and the four urban bodies for this achievement that has made the state proud.
