Raipur: In a tragic incident, in any event seven workers were killed and a few others were gravely harmed after a transport truck crash in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Saturday (September 5) morning. The bus was conveying workers ferrying them to Surat in Gujarat from Ganjam in Odisha.
The bus crashed into a truck when it was going through the Cheri Khedi in Raipur.
SSP Raipur, Ajay Yadav told lalluram.com, ”Seven individuals killed, seven harmed after a bus worker from Ganjam in Odisha to Surat in Gujarat, slammed into a truck at Cheri Khedi in Raipur, early morning today.”
Then, the nearby police showed up at the mishap spot not long after the episode was accounted for.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced Rs 2 lakhs each to the family of seven workers, who died in a bus mishap in Raipur. The CM has also coordinated Minister Susanta Singh to quickly continue to Raipur to broaden necessary assistance.
