Raipur: The CG Education department on Thursday announced “bagless days” in schools on Saturdays. Yoga, exercise, sports and cultural activities will be held in institutions, an official said on Thursday.
The step is taken to awaken the interest of children and will help them stay connected with schools. Children will find school education informative and entertaining,” the official further added. In a press briefing, he informed that District education officers were given instructions on the implementation of the initiative at the earliest. As per the notice, exercise, yoga, sports competitions, literary-cultural activities, value-education, art, education, etc. will be organised in schools for students from Classes 1 to 8.
Principals of all schools under the initiative will be asked to plan activities for each Saturday of the month and display information about the same on the notice board.
