Chhattisgarh: After a long gap of 3 months, Chhattisgarh reopened clubs, shopping malls, restaurants, and hotels in the state from Today onwards. However, cinema halls, gyms, swimming pools, theatres, bars, and auditoriums will remain shut.

Chhattisgarh government had issued an order on Thursday to allow shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and transportation services in the state. The order also said that maintaining social distancing will be mandatory for all. However, in the shopping malls, the gaming zone and playing area for children will remain closed.

In this case, the general manager of Raipur Magneto mall, Raj Kujur said that “Today we are happy that the malls have been re-opened by the government, all precaution will be taken, every hour the mall will be sanitized and thermal screenings will be done of every visitor. We have enough guards to control any situation.”

“Similarly, Shops operated inside the mall, the number of customers would be kept to a minimum inside shops and loitering will not be allowed.”, Kujur further said.

Chhattisgarh Transport Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet singh also issued an order for operating intra-district and inter-district passenger buses in the state. “All drivers, conductors, and passengers will have to wear face masks,” it said.

Moreover, in sports complexes and stadia, only sports activities will be permitted, while viewers will not be allowed there, he said. In case any area is declared as a containment zone then only essential services will be allowed there, he said.

The Health Ministry had earlier released Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) to be followed in shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality units to contain the spread of coronavirus.
