Raipur: After a hiatus of 11 months, schools reopened today in Chhattisgarh.
Arrangements were made at the school premises and adhering to the COVID precautionary norms. The schools schedule excluded morning prayers, and ousted games period from their daily time table
Students of Kanya Vidyalaya in Shanti Nagar; Raipur bought their own snacks and water as the canteen was shut as per the guidelines.
Students were offered sweets as a token of welcome. Also, to contain the spread school authorities cut down the working hours to 4 rather than a full day.
Alok Dixit, lecturer of PG Umthe Shanti Nagar Kanya Vidyalaya, said that the children were admitted to the school after a temperature check. The schools have also decided to make seating arrangements of the classes as per the social distancing norms. Children are instructed to follow social distancing strictly and don masks. A regular temperature check of the students will be practiced and if any students present illness; they will immediately be sent home.
