Raipur: The expansion of business activities related to Godhan Nyaya Yojana is getting faster in Chhattisgarh as the state is now utilizing cow dung to produce paint. This is being manufactured in five Gothans of Raipur, Durg, and Kanker districts. Under this scheme, the government is buying cow dung at Rs. 2 per kg and cow urine at the rate of Rs.4 per liter.
A virtual ceremony was organised today to clear the monthly payment of Godhan Nyaya Yojana. The ceremony hosted by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel reveled that so far 8997 liters of this natural paint has been produced through these five functional unites.
An income of Rs. 7,02,030 has been earned from the sale of 3307 liters of paint. Further, the process of setting up units for making natural paint from cow dung in 37 identified Gauthans in 25 districts of the state shall be proceeded at a faster pace.
Highlighting the achievements og this Yojana, CM Baghel tweeted a video today.
CM Baghel has already achieved success in production and sale of vermi compost in Gothans. The demand for the same has given employment to women groups. Chhattisgarh Gothans are now making electricity from cow dung in Sukma and Jagdalpur too.
