Chhattisgarh: A mutual firing incident took place at Bastar in the state of Chhattisgarh. A constable working under the Central Reserve Police Force, namely Pramod Kumar Sari, was reportedly killed in the incident. The firing was initiated by another constable named Girish Kumar (Age 25), who has also been fatally injured in the incident, along with constable Santosh Vacham (Age 26).
Besides being fatally injured, Girish Kumar, the constable who initiated the firing, has been in an unstable mental condition since the brutal incident took place. Besides being treated for his severe injury, he is also undergoing mental treatment and counseling in an isolation ward.
According to the sources, a mutual firing incident took place at Bastar on Friday, due to which a constable lost his life after getting shot. The deceased constable has been recognized as Pramod Kumar Sari. The 27-years-old constable hailed from the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.
On being questioned by the media, P. Sundarraj, the Inspector General of Bastar revealed – “Pramod Kumar Sari, a resident of Narayanpur was killed when Girish Kumar, 25, his colleague at Bastar Battalion of CRPF, opened fire at him. Santosh Vacham (age 26), a resident of Bijapur, another CRPF jawan also got injured in the mutual firing”.
Noteworthily, the conditions of both the injured constables are quite critical at the moment. Meanwhile, OP Sharma, the Additional Superintendent of Police informed the media that – “Girish Kumar, who started the firing, is undergoing treatment for his mental condition in an isolation ward.”
