Chhattisgarh: To curb the coronavirus further, the Chhattisgarh government has extended the lockdown imposed in all the districts of the state till 15th May. In this regard, the guidelines issued by the Government have been exempted till 5 pm for conducting business. Not to allow after 5.00 pm (except petrol pumps & medicine shops)

The guidelines issued by the government include markets, hotels and restaurants during lockdown, (home delivery only allowed), marriage halls, malls, clubs, swimming pools, super markets, all religious places, coaching classes, schools and Colleges (for students), paan and cigarette shops, liquor shops, tourist spots, No permission will be given to open street food carts and eateries.

Not only this, barber shops, parks, mandi – all types (except loading / unloading time), gyms and all types of social and community programs will also be banned.

Most Districts are not showing sustained decreasing positivity rates, should extend lockdown period – so as to attempt to break the virus chain.

In Bastar Division district, a new variant/strain has been detected in Andhra, which has been reported to be very dangerous, and which may spread to your areas, so these districts need to strictly implement border controls, improve border checking/testing, and extend lockdown.

The key points:

A. For all districts

  1. Agriculture sector – opening of shops/godowns for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, shops for agricultural machinery & their repair. Movement of fertiliser trucks.
  2. Kirana shops will be open (but only independent establishments in mohallas, & not those in Malls & Supermarkets)
  3. Daily needs/provision stores via home delivery only, without opening shops physically (for those having independent establishments in mohallas, & not for those in Malls & Supermarkets)
  4. Banks & post offices to open with 50% manpower – for only business transactions, for all kinds of businesses.
  5. Courier services for postal/dak services (not for e-commerce)
  6. Electricians/plumbers to render home services/repairs of ACs, Coolers, sanitary fittings. Also their repair shops.
  7. Home delivery of ACs, Fans, Coolers (without opening shops).
  8. Petrol pumps – opening up for all purposes, & with no time restrictions.
  9. Gas agencies – opening up.
  10. Poultry, meat, egg, milk, dairy & dairy products shops.
  11. Flour Mills (ata chakki).
  12. Registry offices to open, with minimum staff & token system (with 50% staff, just like last year).
  13. Other permitted online home deliveries only.
  14. Fruits & vegetable thelas, doing the rounds.
  15. All labour intensive works and all on-site works – related to PWD, Irrigation, PHE, Forest, P&RD/RES/MNREGA, etc.

The loading/unloading time permitted for goods, cargo & warehouses/godowns, shall continue to be in night, between 11.00 pm to 5.00 am only.

Sunday shall be a complete lockdown (only hospitals, clinical establishments, medicine shops, pet feeding, petrol pumps, home delivery items & services, to be allowed on Sunday).

B. For Raipur & Durg, 2 districts only

All relaxations as mentioned in A above.
Further is the following relaxations…

  1. Stationery shops.
  2. Vehicles, scooter, bikes repair & puncture repair shops.
  3. Hotels & restaurants – home delivery.
  4. Private on-site construction works/ activities.
  5. Packaging materials & related units.
  6. Laundry services.

C. All 28 districts – The following shall Not be opened:

  1. Markets
  2. Hotels and restaurants, (only home delivery to be permitted)
  3. Marriage halls
  4. Malls, Clubs, Swimming pools, Super Markets
  5. All religious places
  6. Coaching classes
  7. Schools and Colleges (For Students)
  8. Pan and cigarette Thelas
  9. Liquor Shops
  10. Tourists Spots (like Telibandha, Budha Talab, Jungle Safari, Barnawapara, all resorts, etc. shall remain closed)
  11. Mobile eateries, Thelas and small road side eatery shops not to be allowed.
  12. Barber Shops
  13. Parks
  14. Mandi – all kinds (exception for the designated night time loading/unloading)
  15. Gyms.
  16. All types of Assembly/ social & community programs
