Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly’s monsoon session is underway. The first day saw tributes to deceased members, followed by BJP and opposition MLAs challenging the government on issues like DAP, fertilizer, and RI promotion exams. Today, the second day begins with Question Hour. Finance Minister OP Choudhary will table an ordinance regarding the Chhattisgarh outstanding tax interest and Shastri’s settlement amendment. Additionally, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Minister Ramvichar Netam, and Kedar Kashyap will present various documents. Four attention motions are also scheduled for today’s session.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will reach the assembly at 10 am and participate in the session. After this, at 12:30 pm, he will leave from the assembly to Raipur railway station, where he will flag off the train going to Ayodhya Dham for Shri Ram Lalla Darshan. CM Sai will return to his residence at 1:40 pm.

The Gevra Road-Raipur-Gevra Road passenger train is being restored once again after two years and 169 days. South East Central Railway Bilaspur Zone has announced the restoration of 13 DEMU and MEMU passenger trains, including the Gevra Road-Raipur-Gevra Road MEMU passenger. This train will start operating again from today, which will provide great relief to the passengers of the Koyalanchal region as well as day travelers.
Congress Protests
In Chhattisgarh, Congress will protest against the government over the increase in electricity bills from today till July 18. Today, press conferences will be held in all districts. From July 16 to 18, the electricity office will be gheraoed at the block level. On July 22, the district headquarters electricity office will be gheraoed.
Congress tribal leaders will return from Delhi
After meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding the interests of the tribals, the tribal leaders of the Chhattisgarh Congress will return to Raipur from Delhi today. PCC Chief Deepak Baij along with other leaders will return at 12.30 pm. It is expected that in this meeting, many issues, including the demand for a separate religion code for the tribals, were discussed.
