Raipur: Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Monsoon session begins today morning with ruckus on the issue of the resignation of Health Minister TS Singhdev from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Amidst the uproar, an answer was sought from the government. The speaker had to adjourn the proceedings of the House for 10 minutes.
As soon as the Zero Hour started, BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar raised the situation of constitutional crises that has arisen in the state. The minister wrote a letter mentioning serious allegations against the government. Other BJP MLAs have raised questions on the same. Therefore, it becomes the collective responsibility to respond to those allegations.
Addressing the letter, Dr. Charandas Mahant, the Assembly Speaker said that writing a letter to the Chief Minister by a minister is not a question of constitutional order or crises. There is lack of information if Assembly Secretariat about accepting the resignation of the minister.
Opposition leader, Dharmlal Kaushik raised the issue of corruption prevailing in the state. Kaushik also highlighted the issue of corruption prevailing in the state, poor law and order in state with criminal incidents like incest, murder, robbery, kidnapping being reported continuously.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that he is fully prepared to answer the questions raised in the Assembly.
