Raipur: The Chhattisgarh High Court on Friday has rejected the suspended Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) GP Singh’s application. The court had studied the case diary submitted by the Police and the suspended officer might get arrested soon.
Hearing his plea, the Court said that Singh had submitted the petition for interim relief in the lower court which was later withdrawn by him. Therefore, the court rejected his first application. Following this the court rejected the second application based on the facts presented in the case diary.
In previous hearings, Hon. Court made it clear that Singh’s alleged act was against the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968. Since then, the state government suspended him with immediate effect. During the suspension period, he shall report to the police headquarter in Raipur.
IPS GP Singh is accused of possessing excessive property. Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Bureau had raided the officer’s personal residence based on the complaint filed against him. He also owns numerous properties across the state, which were also raided by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
