Chhattisgarh Health Minister Approaches US Doctors for Suggestions on COVID Containment

Raipur: In order to understand the genomic sequencing of the coronavirus, Chhattisgarh health minister TS Singh Deo convened with health experts from the US. The aim behind the meet is to formulate strategies effectively to curb the spread. Dr Priya Sampath, a specialist in infectious diseases in Rochester, shared her experience and provided time-to-time suggestions.

Mr Singh expressed gratitude towards the people of Indian origin working in the organization who desire to help the nation in this period of crisis.

He also spoke on methodologies to strengthen the management in the health care sector, arrangements to take patients from rural areas from home to hospital, systemic home quarantine, and ICU management. 

Chhattisgarh health department has been tirelessly working towards the betterment of the conditions in the state and to break the chain. It has been holding discussions on a national and international level to postulate strategies to deal with the second wave, said Mr. Deo.
