Raipur: Chhattisgarh Health Department curated COVID Kawach- a gift hamper to be distributed by Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) marking the celebrations of International Yoga Day on June 21.
As per the unison, the participants on the International Yoga Day will be solicited with these indigenous ranges of herbal products and immunity booster drinks developed by the Chhattisgarh Health Department.
TRIFED approved the herbal products of the state as international quality standards and decided to distribute them as gifts, said senior officials from the health department. The Immunity booster hamper was launched by CM Bhupesh Baghel at his residence on Saturday.
The hand-picked herbal products contain organic Bastar cashew, wild forest honey, green tea ‘amla’ candy, chiraunji, and natural face pack and soap.
Collection and processing of forest produce is being done by women self-help groups at Van Dhan Kendra through Chhattisgarh minor forest produce federation. “These products are being distributed under the brand name of Chhattisgarh Herbal Brand. Within a short span of time these products have been established at a national level,” said forest department officials.
TRIFED is an agency under the Government of India that promotes the products manufactured by tribal people. These gift hampers would be distributed to Yoga enthusiasts of the USA and New York on behalf of the Indian Embassy and various international embassies in New Delhi.
