Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Government has declared to vaccinate people between 18-45 years from May 1. For the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination, the state government has implemented a new priority system.
Under this system, the poorest people having an Antyodaya Ration Card will be vaccinated first. Chhattisgarh is considered as the first state to set such a priority in vaccination.
In Chhattisgarh, the Covid-19 cases are increasing at a rapid rate. For this, Covid testing is being emphasized. New labs have also been started in the state for the Covid testing. In the last 7 days, more than 3 lakh 86 thousand samples are being tested in Chhattisgarh. On one hand, the spread of the infection is increasing and on the other hand, the recovery rate is also high which is a relief news for the people of Chhattisgarh.
The State government has informed that the lockdown can be extended in the state. The government will declare its decision within two days. Regarding the vaccination drive, CM Bhupesh Baghel said, “We have decided that we will vaccinate people between 18 years to 44 years in the state free of cost, a comprehensive action plan and all arrangements have been made for this”.
