Chhattisgarh: Government Officials Nabbed for Possession of Illegal Animal Skin

Chhattisgarh: Two government officials and 5 local citizens are charged against illegal animal skin possession. It is reported that IG Sundarraj P of Bastar and CCF Mohammad Shahid of the forest department were leading the operation.

In addition, the head of forest Rakesh Chaturvedi was also in constant touch with the forest department team in Raipur.

The locals arrested are identified as Anil Kumar,Rakesh, Pawan Kumar, Arun Divertyam, Babulal Majji, Harprasad Gavde Surendra Kumar and Bhojram Thakur.

However, police authorities and forest departmentofficials seem to reveal no details about the crime. Search operations are on for the TI absconding with 2 Assistant sub inspectors.
