Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Employees-Officers Federation was about to take out a rally regarding the pending demands of the government servants of the state. In order to draw the attention of the government towards the demand of 31% dearness allowance and house rent allowance as per the seventh pay scale pending of the prominent government servants, it was decided to organize a ‘Fundamental Rights Rally’ in all the districts, tehsils, development blocks on January 12th.
Now in view of the increasing corona infection in the country and the state, the outline of the movement has been amended. The federation has agitated several times to get its demands fulfilled. Federation’s provincial convener Kamal Verma and chief spokesperson Vijay Kumar Jha said that in view of the increasing outbreak of corona infection in the office of the Gazetted Officers Association of the capital on January 7th, in view of the increasing outbreak of corona infection, the proposed Fundamental Rights rally on Wednesday will not be conducted. Instead, it has been decided to hand over a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister in district tehsils and development blocks through collectors, sub-divisional officers and tehsildars to two-point demand letters by only 5-7 office bearers.
Similarly, on January 28th and 29th, keeping in mind the duties of public servants towards the people of Chhattisgarh, in the event of an improvement in the speed of corona and a ban, it has been decided to perform duty at the place of duty by putting a black band in place of a mass holiday. Federation’s provincial convener Kamal said that the government’s attention was drawn many times regarding the pending demands but the hearing is not taking place.
