Raipur: In a recent development, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has formally reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the allocation of substantial funds to facilitate housing under the widely acknowledged Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The central government’s PMAY scheme aims to foster affordable housing solutions for the economically weaker sections of society, enhancing their living standards and ensuring stable shelter options.
In a letter penned on Tuesday, Baghel emphasized the pressing need for financial assistance to support the housing aspirations of many families in the state. As per the data, around 6,99,439 families are in a perpetual wait, eagerly anticipating their turn to secure a roof over their heads.
