Raipur: As the Chhattisgarh assembly elections draw near there has been an increase, in the expectations and requests, from the public political parties and government employees. Joining the chorus, around 5 lakh state government employees have been voicing their demands persistently, and their efforts have finally borne fruit. In a significant move, the Bhupesh Baghel-led government has responded by increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees by a notable 4%.
Not stopping there, the government has also extended its support to contract workers, a workforce of approximately 37 thousand employees in the state. These contract workers will witness a remarkable increase of about 27% in their monthly salary, bringing considerable relief to their financial situations.
The welfare initiatives do not end there. In recognition of the invaluable services rendered by guest teachers, they will now be entitled to an additional fee of up to Rs 2,800. The police administration is not left out either, with constables set to receive Rs 100 as a kit allowance, a gesture that acknowledges their dedication and hard work in maintaining law and order.
Furthermore, the government is also showing its appreciation for the efforts of “mitanins,” providing them with an additional salary per day, as a token of gratitude for their relentless efforts in serving their communities.
The Bhupesh Baghel government’s recent decisions are not only expected to resonate well with the public ahead of the elections but also demonstrate the administration’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of various segments of the workforce.
