Bastar: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited Bastar today, where he participated in the oath-taking ceremony of Kalar Samaj in Bedma village, Kondagaon district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated development works worth a total of Rs 527 crore, benefitting the people of the district. Among these, 61 development works worth Rs 83.445 crore will be inaugurated, while the foundation stone for 151 construction works worth Rs 93.82 crore will be laid.
Some of the significant development works to be inaugurated include the construction of a 6.39 km road from Deurbal to Taraibeda, costing Rs 13.85 crore, a 5 km road and bridge-culvert from Mohlai to Cherakur-Gumga, costing Rs 71.6 crore, a 4.46 km road from Makdi to Otenda, costing Rs 6.78 crore, a 2.82 km road from Kormel to Paroda, costing Rs 5.20 crore, and a 48.2 km road from Badalur-Kanga, amounting to Rs 70 crore. An RCC culvert on Kejang-Madanar road and a stop dam at Kudur Kapatbhata, among other tasks, will also be inaugurated.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for several significant projects, including the construction of a 17.60 km road and bridge-culvert from Mardapal Medhapal main road to Changer-Hangwa, costing Rs 12.90 crore, the construction of two bridges at Basani Nala and Baland Nala, amounting to Rs 12.72 crore, an 11 km road and bridge-culvert from Sonepur to Bannupara Khajarwand, costing Rs 15.7 crore, and the construction of 10 residential buildings for judicial officers and employees in Kondagaon, totaling Rs 43.71 crore. Various bridge constructions and road developments are also part of the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
