Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s father, Nandkumar Baghel had been summoned by the District Court. Chhattisgarh Police took Nandkumar Baghel to the Court today. He was arrested yesterday from Agra after an FIR was lodged against him.

The Brahmin community has been outraged by Nandkumar Baghel’s statement and are consistently condemning his statement. People burnt his effigies and demanded action by registering an FIR. To this CM Bhupesh Baghel said that there was no one above law. He further added that the Chhattisgarh Government respects people of every caste, religion, section, and community.

CM Baghel’s father, during a tour in Uttar Pradesh, had called for a “boycott” of Brahmins.

“Brahmins will be sent from Ganga to Volga river. They are foreigners. They consider us untouchables and are snatching away all our rights. I will urge villagers to not let Brahmins enter their village,” Nand Kumar Baghel had said.
