Raipur– Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made several pivotal announcements in Raipur in light of the impending Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. Baghel declared that individuals accused of sexual offences against women would be excluded from governmental jobs. He emphasized the significance of women’s safety and asserted that their protection and honour are paramount to the administration.
Furthermore, as part of the state’s literary recognition, Baghel revealed that the “Chhattisgarh Sahitya Akademi Samman” would be conferred upon writers in three specific domains: literature in Chhattisgarhi and its dialects, Hindi poetry, and Hindi prose. Each recipient would receive a cash award of Rs 5 lakh and a commendation letter.
Other notable announcements included the ‘Chhattisgarhiya Olympics’, wherein outstanding performers in certain athletic events would be acknowledged. Additionally, silkworms and bee farming will acquire agricultural status. The “Chhattisgarh Poultry Promotion Scheme” was introduced to bolster poultry farming and self-employment, offering farmers subsidized electricity rates.
Students in remote regions of Chhattisgarh will have access to complimentary online coaching for competitive exams, and the honorarium for part-time workers associated with the mid-day meal initiative will witness an increment. Baghel also announced a salary hike for specific community groups and introduced the “Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Pension Sahayata Yojana” pension plan for elderly construction workers. The curriculum will soon encompass artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
