Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel emphasized the importance of democracy, in his response to the no confidence motion in the state assembly. He acknowledged that it is within the rights of the opposition to express their lack of confidence, in the government while also recognizing that it provides an opportunity for the ruling party to showcase their accomplishments. He stated that although the opposition presented 109 charges against the state government, they failed to back them up with concrete facts.

During the fiery debate, Baghel highlighted the accomplishments of his government, including the construction of schools and bridges, welfare initiatives, and efforts to counter naxalism. He emphasized the positive changes witnessed in the Bastar region and improved road connectivity, benefiting farmers and children.

The Chief Minister expressed pride in the fact that the Jain community had attested to the smooth conduct of their marriages without any hindrance. Baghel also mentioned that they commonly receive two requests during their visits – the establishment of banks and the development of Swami Atmanand Schools.

The motion of no confidence presented by the BJP signaled the conclusion of the session before the approaching state elections, in November. Despite the opposition’s charges, Baghel used the opportunity to highlight his government’s achievements and commitment to the welfare of the people.
