Raipur: On the occasion of Ram Navami, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel took to his social media to appeal to the citizens to learn from Lord Ram during COVID resurgence and defeat the virus. Citing Shree Ram’s struggle of 14 years of exile; he urged the people to take his life as an example of overcoming the miscreants. 

Chhattisgarh in the past 24 hours reported 18,746 infections taking the toll to 4,42,337. 191 mortalities were reported by the state health department. 

 The average growth rate of patients in the state has descended to 2.1%. Despite the highest number of cases in the state, the recovery rate in the capital Raipur is 81.86%, nearly 25,000 patients recovered after hospitalization in the last week. The administration has also decided to ban the use of oxygen at the industrial level from April 22. As per the new guidelines, vendors can deliver essentials at home but not open their outlets. Strict actions are instructed against vendors violating the rules.
