New Delhi: It is likely that CM Bhupesh Baghel who arrived in Delhi on Friday evening is scheduled to attend a meeting alongside state governer Anusuiya Uikey with PM Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah to discuss Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The meeting tabled for 4:30 pm will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Subsequently, on August 7th, Baghel as per reports will meet Vice President Draupadi Murmu. Baghel is also scheduled to attend the NITI Aayog meeting being chaired by PM Modi. The seventh meeting since the constitution of the council will pave the way for a new era of collaboration between the Centre and the states, officials from the PMO said. This will be the first physical meeting of the council after July 2019 and its members include all the chief ministers.

“In the drive towards building a steady, sustainable and inclusive India, the seventh governing council meeting of the NITI Aayog will be held on August 7 and this will pave the way for synergies towards a new era of collaboration and cooperation between the Centre and states/Union territories,” it said in a statement.

Following the meeting Baghel as per the information by the CMO will depart to Himachal Pradesh. The election observer for the state would brainstorm with Congress; MLAs and Senior officials about the election strategy.

As per the CM’s travel itinerary for the month, he would also travel to Bhopal on August 22nd for a Central Zone Interstate Council Meeting of the Union Minister Amit Shah. This will be for the first time Baghel would visit the capital of the state after assuming the CMs post in Chhattisgarh.
